NX-Cast Innovations turns the plastic that the recycling system cannot use into an engineered ecofiller, so producers can make lighter, longer-lasting, lower-carbon concrete and asphalt without taking on new operational risk.

Two industries, two problems, one gap:

9 percent:

Only about 9 percent of the world's plastic waste is recycled. The rest is incinerated, landfilled, or mismanaged. (OECD, 2019 data)

8 percent:

Cement is responsible for about 8 percent of global CO2 emissions. (World Cement Association)

Both industries have worked hard on solutions. What has been missing is demand for a repurposed product. That is where we work.

What we do:

One platform, two parts

ReLite+
An engineered ecofiller made from plastic that closed-loop recycling cannot economically absorb, including black plastics, Bakelite and other thermosets, multilayer packaging and, for concrete grades, PVC. We do not melt it and we do not extrude it, so it does not need a clean, single-polymer feed.

The ECOS Optimization Platform
The way ReLite+ is put to work. ReLite+ creates headroom in the mix. ECOS spends that headroom on practical fixes for the problems producers deal with every day, using supplementary cementitious materials and other waste-derived materials.

What producers get:

Built around the producer's list

  • Lighter. More product on every truck, with a mix that still meets its specification.

  • Less cement per performance. Designed to help reduce the cement a mix needs.

  • More durable. Designed to help address brittleness, porosity, early thermal cracking, alkali-silica reaction, and sulfate attack.

  • No green-up charge. Better performance without a premium the customer will not pay.

  • No new equipment. Fits the batching and mixing plants producers already run.

  • Concrete and asphalt. One platform for both.

Each mix is formulated to meet the standard for its application, using the ingredients and preferences of the producer.

Traction:

Block: text on the left, two highlighted figures on the right.

In production, in trials, and sized to real demand

ReLite+ is being validated through in-plant production and follow-up testing. In a demanding commercial trial, a large paver manufacturer used it in both pavers and wall stone and described the result as "that’s perfect."

Producers tell us what they would need. A small producer might use one super sack a day. A large producer can use up to 200 tonnes a day. That is why the next step is building the facilities.

Real Demand Figures:

  • 1 super sack a day: a small producer

  • Up to 200 tonnes a day: a large producer

Facilities:

Block: text with one image (a real photo of the Mitchell site area, when available).

The next step is building the facilities

The first processing facility is planned for the Mitchell area of Southwestern Ontario. Its job is to show a licensable model that recyclers and waste handlers can repeat in their own regions, giving concrete and asphalt producers a material they understand and want to include in their products.

Producers
Trial ReLite+, license the platform, or join the ReLite+ Buyers Club for preferred access to supply and early access to new mix designs.

Plastics, recycling and waste handling
Give residual plastic a durable destination, or host a ReLite+ processing unit alongside your existing operation.

Recycle what can be recycled. Build with what cannot. ReLite+ complements closed-loop recycling and does not compete with it, because concrete and asphalt do not buy virgin plastic.

Protected technology and expertise:

Protected technology, decades of expertise

NX-Cast's technology is protected by patents pending, trademarks and trade secrets. It is backed by decades of hands-on experience in construction, the concrete industry, the plastics sector and waste management, which is what it takes to work across all four.

Who we are

Problem-solvers who have lived concrete and construction from the inside

NX-Cast is a materials and product development company built by people with decades of experience in construction product development, mix design, and plant operations. Our technologies are designed to work with the equipment, crews, and quality routines producers and contractors already rely on.

·       Hero photo: Concrete wall panels being installed in an outdoor plaza

·       Lab photo: Lab bench with sample jars of ground plastic ecofiller and a concrete core being measured

·       Any new photo: describe the object, for example "ReLite+ ecofiller in a super sack at a batch plant"

Build checklist

1.       Build the Partner page with three anchored sections: producers, plastics-recycling and funders.

2.       Add the anchors #ecos and #facilities on the /relite page, or change the two button targets above to the page itself.

3.       Replace the stock or rendered images with real photos when you have them.

4.      Fix the SEO title, and add a meta description on every inner page.

5.       Remove or redirect the duplicate pages (the "-1" pages, "relite-and-ecos-copy" and "the-challenge").

Confirm before publishing

·       Trials. The traction section describes one commercial trial. If you have more than one, change "a demanding commercial trial" to "successful commercial trials."

·       The "perfect" quote. Confirm the client is comfortable with it, unnamed. If not, use "rated the result excellent."

·       Volumes. The one super sack and 200 tonnes figures are what producers have said they would use, not orders. Keep that wording.

·       Patents pending. Confirm the count and that each is a filed application. Do not describe what a patent covers, and do not say asphalt is patent pending.

·       Trademarks. Use the TM symbol, not "registered." The Canadian ReLite+ application is pending and may face opposition.

·       PVC. The copy names PVC only for concrete grades, to match your decision to keep it out of asphalt. Counsel should confirm the wording.

·       Asphalt and the CO2 process. The page keeps asphalt statements general, and the CO2 mineralization process stays off the site until counsel confirms filing.

Practical Ingenuity at Work

  • ReLite+: an engineered ecofiller made from difficult-to-recycle plastic.

  • The ECOS Optimization Platform: the way ReLite+ is put to work, using SCMs and other waste-derived materials to solve everyday producer problems.

  • The ECOS Alliance: the licensing network that carries the model to regional facilities.

  • ELCEMITE and our building products: the decades of invention behind the platform.

ReLite+ turns difficult-to-recycle plastic into an engineered ecofiller. The ECOS Optimization Platform uses the room it creates to bring in supplementary cementitious materials and other waste-derived materials so that producers can make lighter, longer-lasting, lower-carbon products with no green-up charge.

Two industries, one gap:
